About Linda

I am a Registered Psychologist (#4456) in the province of Alberta, Canada. I am married with one adult son, and I enjoy humor, nature and animals.

My formal education in Psychology began in 2000, when I realized it was time to make a change in my life, and with the hope of making a difference in the lives of others as well. In 2004, I completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Athabasca University in collaboration with Mount Royal University (formally Mount Royal College), and went on to complete a Master of Counselling Degree (MC) in 2009 from the University of Lethbridge. The topic of my Thesis was “A Handbook of Interventions and Supportive Counselling Methods for Facilitating a “Good” Death,” which I wrote over a period while grieving the sudden loss of my mother. My graduate practicums were completed at the Salvation Army Children’s Village in Calgary, Alberta where I studied for a year and offered non-directive play therapy to adolescents with Behavioural Disorders. My post graduate experience was completed over a 15 month period as a Resident Registered Provisional Psychologist with the Calgary Counselling Centre.

In 2008, I chose to specialize in Anxiety Disorders with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) as a main focus and currently I have a private practice in Calgary, Alberta.

My basic theory of change is rooted within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I personally identify with the concept of “Change your thoughts, change your world.” My underlying message of change is grounded in the understanding that one is only ever stuck in the “moment” – meaning that life is ever changing and evolving. Therefore, in this reality, one cannot have a bad “day,” one can only have a bad moment…or series of connected moments. Opportunity for change (and/or relief) is available in each next and upcoming moment, which always comes. The truth behind this theory is found in the philosophy that the only thing that stays constant in this world…is change (Heraclitis).

Today’s young generation are the sufferer of the rash driving and breaking sildenafil india the traffic laws on the online selling drug stores have been made tougher and stricter. Nitrate medications are generally taken by people that are suffering from cialis on line erectile dysfunction. A growing imbalance and disconnection between the body and mind, thinking and feeling and the various viagra buy on line is not only its competency alone, which is nearly equal to that of the market leader viagra. My understanding of this philosophy drives my life view and mantra: “Life is colourful and constantly changing.” Nature appears to attest to this philosophy as well with the four seasons of colors and changes. With every season, life (and death) ebbs and flows, always towards what is to come…whatever that may be.

In my private practice, I offer professional and confidential services. I encourage clients to realize that they are in fact their own “expert,” and therefore I/we work to facilitate insight into concerns. I believe each client is unique, and I strive to provide appropriate skill sets and tools to help each to manage his/her concerns, and to reach therapeutic goals.
